How to Set Up Your Profile
Creating a professional seller profile is the first step to monetizing your trading edge on BacktestX. A verified profile builds trust with buyers and ensures seamless payouts.
Step 1: Public Vendor Profile
Your vendor profile is publicly visible to all BacktestX users. It represents your brand in the marketplace.
- Brand Name: The name that will appear on all your listed indicators. Choose a professional, memorable name.
- Brand Bio: A brief description of your trading philosophy, experience, and what buyers can expect from your tools.
- Social Links: Connect your X (Twitter), YouTube, or Telegram so users can verify your authority in the trading space.
Step 2: Legal & Payout Verification
To receive payments, you must provide accurate legal information. This information is kept strictly confidential and is only used for compliance and tax purposes.

| Business Type | Select whether you are an Individual/Freelancer or a registered Company. |
| PAN Number | Required for TDS compliance. Ensure the name matches your bank account. |
| Bank Details | Account Number and IFSC Code for monthly NEFT/IMPS payouts. |
Step 3: SEBI Status (Optional)
If you are a SEBI Registered Research Analyst or Investment Advisor, you can submit your registration details to receive a Verified Badge on your indicators.
Non-registered creators are still fully allowed to publish indicators, but must adhere to the marketplace guidelines restricting the offering of direct financial advice.
Submission & Review
Once you submit your profile and upload your documents (PAN card, Cancelled Cheque/Bank Proof), our compliance team will review your application within 24-48 hours.
You will be notified via email once approved. After approval, the "Sell Indicator" dashboard will be unlocked!
